My husband, Russell, and I live in Northwestern Minnesota. Our youngest son David, was diagnosed with AS in 1997 when he was 17 months old. His diagnosis caught us off guard. Angelman syndrome was unfamiliar to us, and we were unsure of where to look for more information. With the assistance of the Angelman Syndrome Foundation, we began to connect and bridge the necessary resources for David and the rest of our family. Because it was so helpful to us, I have committed my life to helping others connect. I'm here to help as an ASF Family Champion, offering information, a listening ear, or assistance in realizing the potential of your angel. Every child has the right to "belong," and they should be able to participate in life to reach their potential. I am passionate about helping others find ways to live, work, and play in their environments.
