Sarah Nelson Potter is a developmental scientist with a clinical background in speech-language pathology, focused on understanding developmental trajectories across the lifespan in individuals with neurodevelopmental disorders and rare neurogenetic conditions. At RTI International, she serves as the Associate Director for the LADDER Database. She also works on developing and validating outcome measures, disseminating findings from natural history studies, and intervention projects focused on improving outcomes for families affected by rare conditions. She is passionate about using data to advance clinical trial readiness and to share findings in both scientific and family-friendly ways that connect research to lived experience. She is deeply committed to helping families support their child’s development and enhancing well-being across the family system.
