Job Title
Sr. Medical Director - Clinical Development
Professional Bio

I am a physician-scientist and clinical development leader focused on advancing genetic medicines for rare and ultra-rare neurodevelopmental disorders. I currently serve as Senior Medical Director in Global Clinical Development at Ultragenyx, leading cross-functional teams across clinical, regulatory, biostatistics, data management, and medical affairs to design and execute global trials and deliver high-quality evidence for decision-making and submissions.
My foundation is in rare neurogenetics. At UT Southwestern, I directed specialty clinics for Pitt-Hopkins syndrome and SLC6A1-related neurodevelopmental disorder and led a rare neurogenetic clinic (ReNeGaDDe), integrating multidisciplinary care with clinical and translational research. My work has emphasized genotype–phenotype characterization, natural history and registry-enabled evidence generation, biomarker strategy, and development of clinically meaningful endpoints in partnership with patient advocacy communities.
I’m passionate about bridging patient voice, biology, and rigorous trial methodology—so promising modalities like antisense oligonucleotides and gene therapy can be evaluated efficiently, ethically, and with outcomes that matter to families.
